Announcements:

• PP Doug D discussed how well the Lexington club is doing with attendance.  In February we were number two in the district for attendance, in March 95% attendance and in April 92% attendance.

• PP John O’D spoke about Comedy Night and the importance of arriving on time.  Cocktails are from 7-7:30 and the food will be served at 7:30.  There are still some tickets left if anyone is interested.  When guests arrive at the door have them say who they are a guest of, and they will be given the appropriate table number.  Please ask your guests to write their name on the ticket stub prior to arrival to keep the lines down.

• PP Dan B, Jr. discussed a Memorial Day ice cream service he and Sharon Spaulding are working on for our veterans at the Bedford VA Hospital.  This will be held on 5/28 and Concord, Lexington and Bedford Rotarians will be participating in the event.  Families are welcome to volunteer as well and the arrival time should be between 10-11am.  Volunteers will be scooping ice cream until around 1pm.  $500 of ice cream was donated from Rancatore’s Ice Cream in Lexington Center.

• PP Dan B Jr. also discussed this year’s Sports Night that will be held on 5/29 from 6:30-8:15. Team coaches will be presenting the awards in the high school cafeteria.  Our Rotary Club donates the awards, but the athletes for the awards are chosen by their coaches.  Rotary members are encouraged to attend. Please sign up at our web site if you plan to do so.

• The Scholarship Luncheon will be held on 6/4 and scholarships will be awarded to as many as 27 applicants this year.  They all had amazing stories.  Each individual will be receiving a $1,000.00 scholarship.

• There will be a District Conference for Future Vision on June 16th in Lawrence for those interested.

The 50/50 raffle was won by PDG Jack M, who quickly donated the money back to the club.
