            English Q:  Read the following passage for comprehension.  PP Nick C. gave Happy Dollars for his granddaughter’s superlative educational experience in third grade in an unnamed Rotarian’s class.  PP Dominic also offered up some Happy Dollars.  Near the end of the meeting, PP Bill C. gave some Happy Dollars for being back among intellectual giants on Mondays (or at least it felt that way by comparisons to the intellects of third graders.)  Assignment = Write a summary of this paragraph, using no more than ten words, none of which can be scatological in nature.
            Legal Q:  Having noticed Jim S.’s shorts, PP John O. proposed a fine on anyone with bare legs.  Jim paid, but he observed that Lori M., who was sitting at his table, also had bare legs.  PP Bob O. gallantly leaped to Lori’s defense and paid her fine.  Who said that chivalry is dead? ____
            Gratitude Q:  Our thanks to the raffle donors:  ARLEX Oil, Walpole Cooperative Bank, Patriot Bank, and Wagon Wheel Nursery.  PP Bill C. won “first pick” of the raffle gifts and walked away with a box of obscenely gorgeous strawberries from Wagon Wheel Nursery, which is a terrific place to get your fresh fruits, vegetable, meats, etc.  The strawberries were MARVELOUS!  Who should be fined for advertising a Rotarian’s business in the Spoke?  ____ 
            Letter of Thanks:  Pres. Dominic noted the receipt of a nice thank you letter from the Cure Pancreatic Cancer Lustgarten Foundation.  The Club had made a donation in memory of PP Dave E.
            Homework from Pres. Dominic
                        New Members:  Each Club member was asked to bring at least one friend who might be a possible Rotarian to lunch during the summer.  PP John voiced concern about what that request might mean for someone who has no friends but was reassured when the Rotarians at his table gave him some high fives and a group hug.
                        Committee Assignments:  The assignments will be out soon.  Committee chairs should draft a description of what their committees plan to do in the coming year and their committee budget. 
Since Pres. Dominic wants to have this information in booklet form for the District Governor’s Club visit on July 27, he is asking that he receives the description and budget by July 20.
