Past SAA Connie Neville Gives Classification Talk to the Club.

On a cloudy summer day, 18 Rotarians and no guests  met at Lexington CC with President Susan C presiding. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by PP Bill C, one verse of America was barely led by PP Domenic, and PP Don S provided the Invocation. There was no Welcome song and after the one verse of America we are lucky there were no guest.

PP Spencer (yours truly) fined PP Nick on behalf of PP Bill C because PP Nick left his raffle gift last week that was provided by PP Bill. I hope PP Bill’s feeling were not hurt too badly. PP Frank offered a self-imposed fine for being late, he was looking for his wallet and that cause him to be late. Connie paid happy dollars for a son’s friend that was a short-term sofa crasher moving out of her house. PP Don S had a great time on a family cruise. Our newest member Terry W paid some happy dollars for an electronics free vacation with her family. PP Bill C paid in some happy dollars because his heart was full of joy seeing the many Rotarian based article in the best newspaper in town (PP Jim feel free to pay some money next time you make a meeting). PP Don M and current Sergeant-at-Arms paid a few happy dollars because everyone had the right change this morning.

Raffle gifts were donated by PP Bill C, P Susan C and Walpole Co-Op bank.

Connie was our speaker and this was her second classification talk. Connie has been a Rotarian for nearly 10 years. She was raised in Arlington and went to Skidmore College. She then went and got her masters in teaching. Being raised in a family of lawyers she soon got the bug to be a lawyer and in 1985 went to law school at Northeastern. After graduating she joined the family law firm and eventually became the managing director. Needing a fresh start, Connie left the law firm and decided to go into commercial real-estate. In 2003 she started to focus on the self-storage industry. She is now the queen of self-storage for all of New England. Connie has two wonderful boys Travis and Jarred. Connie recently sold her house in Lexington and moved to Woburn.

PP Bob O won the 50/50.
