Another Snoozer Meeting

But the food was great! As usual.
On August 7, 2017, eleven (or was it twelve?) Lexington Rotarians gathered at the Lexington Golf Club for lunch on a cloudy day.

Despite the discrepancy in the number attending it was as few members in attendance as this writer has ever witnessed (the rest of you I am sure are all on vacation).

Lunch was meatballs, Italian sausage, and tortellini.

PP Don M led the Pledge of Allegiance, PP Dominic S lead the singing of America (with several members off key), PP Nick C gave the invocation, and Charlie V.  filled in as the Sargent At Arms (thank you Charlie!).

There were no fines.

Happy Dollars were given by;
  • PP Spencer for a family vacation.
  • PP Nick.
  • President Lori for the Burlington Pride Softball Tournament which our Club participated in running.
  • PP Jim gave sad dollars for injuries he sustained while on the last day of a family vacation in Maine.  Fortunately, he has mostly recovered.

PP Nick C had no grandchildren in attendance this week.

Raffle Gifts were donated by;
  • Arlex Oil Corp.
  • Walpole Cooperative Bank
  • Patriot Community Bank.

There was no speaker.

PP Jim S. reported that there has been some discussion at Chamber of Commerce about reviving Oktoberfest.

Announcements:  On Monday August 14th there will be a Board Meeting at 11 AM, followed by the regular meeting at 12:15.
