Speaker:
Our speaker today was DGN Robert Wood.  Bob discussed Rotary's on going mission of Rotoplast and the trip they took to Cebu City Philippines last year.  There are many children there with cleft lip, due to vitamin deficiencies, or other disfigurements and they are rejected by the villagers.  They had 22 medical teams working in Cebu with these children.  They saw 187 children in one day and completed 122 surgeries.  The children have to be medically screened before it is determined if they can go through surgery.   Children that are not able to have surgery for various reasons are encouraged to come back the following year.
