Summer meetings; quick & easy. This one was no exception. PE Dave S. did not have a lot of control over this meeting. The one questionable “guest” of Bill Cassell’s raised quite a ruckus as questions were asked of his TV days. Seems PP Dave E. was quite a fan as he knew names & places & faces etc. The Wiley guest might not have paid for lunch but it cost Bill C a 20 anyway. What was that sound???

How much will it cost PP Don S. to remember to take off his hat during the pledge?

ImageJulie Powers was our Classification talker today. She gave a lively abbreviated summary of her schooling, jobs, marriage and business endeavors. All in the space of seven minutes. As a breast cancer survivor, she is a passionate supporter of an upcoming 5K run/walk that will raise money for childhood cancer research through Alex's Lemonade Stand and Fitness Together . (Use these links to register for the event, donate to the cause or just to get information). The event is on Sept. 14th and starts at the visitors center at 9:30 AM. Since there was no start or end time, it might be an all day thing. That way most Rotarians could run/walk or crawl 5K in 8 or 9 hours…… Who’s up for a challenge?

And finally- PP Doug H. sweeps the 50/50 for another week, proving those who give, get.
