ImageImage‘Twas the week before Christmas when 28 Lexington Rotarians, 24 guests and Santa met for the Annual Holiday Party on a sunny, cold Monday. The buffet table consisted of steak tips, beef stew, vegetable, salad and cookies/brownies.

The meeting was called to order by Pres. Jim and after the pledge by Alan A., one verse of America by Charlie V, and the invocation by PDG Jack, fines and happy dollars were in order. PP Spencer B paid happy dollars to celebrate his daughter’s first slumber party; VP/Sec Susan C. paying for both her children being the adults in the house. Pres. Jim gave happy dollars for his family and friends being at the meeting. First Lady Laurie Atwater gave happy dollars and thanks to the club for its support this past year. PP Nick C. for Chuck Shaw coaching his son in Pop Warner football. Santa gave happy dollars for the kids in attendance (Desanta and Luke). PP Murry was late (although not as late as PP Bob ImageS.) and paid $20.00 for his trip to Paris with Pam.

Pres. Jim then asked Santa to make the rounds for donations to this year’s annual Christmas Appeal.  The Ellie Fund and Ovations for the Cure will share more than $1700 in donations collected by Santa.

Second VP Domenic then introduced Peter Gross, Entertainer/Magician who regaled us with his mystical abilities.Image
