On a cloudy March day, 29 Lexington Rotarians and 6 Guests (I would consider that to be a copious amount) enjoyed lunch.

PE David S. led the Pledge; the first verse of America was by Charlie V., and the invocation by PP Don S...

There were copious Happy Dollars.  Bob C. paid $50 for being back to the meetings.  PE David S. paid for attending PETS and updating us on the fight against Polio.  PP Spencer B. paid in thanks to Treasurer Donna and Pat L. for some auto body work.  Erica E. paid for her classification talk.

There were copious Fines.  PP Murry A. proposed a fine on Steve M. for leaving business cards in the Restroom.  PP Dan B. paid $100 for advertising on Twitter.  PP Doug H. tried to propose a fine on the Esteemed President’s spouse, for not addressing the Esteemed President correctly, that fine was shot down very quickly and wisely so.

Raffle Donations were from Eagle Bank, Lexington Ace Hardware, Rotary Club of Lexington, Patriot Community Bank, and Marian Abraham.

Secretary Susan C. announced that her bank was collecting career clothing during the month of March.

Pres. Jim S. reminded the club that the club will be hosting the Old Guard at Brookhaven for lunch at 2:30pm on April 19th.  Club members were asked to help out and arrive around 2pm.  PP Jim F. suggested that members look at the Old Guard website to see the performances of these soldiers.  www.army.mil/info/organization/.../theoldguard
