Summary of talk 
 
Emily and Jon will speak to the challenges that teens and parents are currently facing. They will speak about tips and tricks to support youth during these difficult times. Topics will include how to have open conversations, assess risky behaviors, and ways to communicate around technology. Finally, they will close with information about Youth Counseling Connections and the services they offer to the Lexington Community. 
 
Biographies
 
Emily Hayes
Emily joined the YCC team as the new Executive Director in the fall of 2019. Emily received her Master's in Art Therapy from Florida State University. She is a Board Certified Art Therapist as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Emily has over nine years of experience working with youth and their families. She has specialized training working with trauma, family attachment, adoption, Depression, Anxiety, and suicide/self-harm. 
 
Jonathan Suber
Jonathan is a YCC Board member and Treasurer. He has been a resident of Lexington for over 20 years and is a parent of three children who have attended Lexington Public Schools. He is a member of the Lexington Catholic Community, Lexington Town Meeting member representing Precinct 2, board member of the Association of Black Citizens of Lexington, and former Lexington Youth Soccer coach.
