Governing in a Time of Great Change: How Massachusetts is Responding to the New Normal
Rep. Ciccolo will provide an overview of some of the major federal shifts in policy, describe how they are impacting Massachusetts, and talk about the legislative and agency actions underway to support our residents. She will also provide insights on what citizens can do to contribute, in a constructive way, to ensure that the programs and systems they value can be maintained.
Elected in 2018, Michelle Ciccolo is the 4-term State Representative for the 15th Middlesex District in Massachusetts, which includes most of the Town of Lexington, and parts of Woburn and a small piece of Winchester. In early 2020, Ciccolo co-founded the bipartisan, bicameral Zero Waste Caucus, which works to reduce and eliminate solid waste in Massachusetts through legislative action, state and local collaboration, information gathering, education, and public outreach. She has a BA from Villanova University and an MS from the McCormack Graduate School of Public Policy at UMass Boston. Previously, she founded and ran a small consulting firm, The Ciccolo Group, which specialized in planning, community development, municipal management, permitting, and real estate development.
