My name is Joseph Pitta, Coop Coordinator at Minuteman High School. I help students obtain jobs and I seek out employers who are willing to hire our students and alumni for full, part-time and Coop positions. As the Holiday season approaches access to downtown Lexington by our work eligible students is essential and could help local business in their hiring needs for the season and beyond.

Having transportation available to and from our town center would help get our students to their jobs. Recently, I have been in contact with Jeanette Rebecchi, Transportation Manager and Melissa Tintocalis, Director of Economic Development at the Town of Lexington regarding the Lexexpress shuttle making as-needed stops at Minuteman High School to provide transportation to our town center for student workers. This proposal has had a positive response from the Town of Lexington.

To help get the word out in our community, Minuteman has implemented an online Job Board that is accessible to our students, alumni and local employers. After a brief registration and simple vetting process, employers can post to our online job board.

Below is what I send out to employers interested in posting jobs for students and alumni:
Minuteman High School has established an online job board to post opportunities for all of our students and alumni. The Co-op/Job Board can be accessed from the Minuteman homepage, www.minuteman.org. This service is free of charge to our Minuteman community.
All employers are required to complete a brief registration form that once reviewed on our end and approved will allow you to post to our job board. The registration form is brief and can be done over the phone. Please feel free to contact me at 781-861-6500 x7361 or the Interim Director of Community Education, Allison Salisbury at x7432 if you need assistance or prefer to register over the phone.

Hopefully, our endeavor to bring students and employers together has had a positive effect on our Lexington community, and as our progress grows, so will the short and long-term benefits.

I would appreciate it if you would share this information with businesses in Lexington and encourage them to take advantage of this no-cost job posting service that is provided by Minuteman. Please feel free to share, copy and paste this email to spread the word.

Sincerely,

Joseph Pitta
