Today’s Speaker:
Dr. Ed Bouquillon Superintendent of the Minuteman High School
Subject: Minuteman High School Building Project

Dr. Ed Bouquillon came to speak to Rotary again about the new Minuteman High school project.  He started off by talking about the special election that takes place today 9/20/16 between 12:00-8:00.  The district is holding an election in the 16 towns to decide if they can get this building project approved or not.  The Massachusetts School Building Authority committed to pay $44 million toward the project if the towns vote to support their local share so get out there to vote!
Dr. Ed Bouquillon then switched gears to talk about a program called MTI.  MTI stands for Minuteman Technical Institute.  MTI is a postgraduate program that provides students of all ages the opportunity to earn program certificates or Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Certificates & licenses.  This program gives underemployed and unemployed adults the opportunity to further their career at a great price.

Some of the benefits include:
  • Training with experts
  • Learn more & faster with less school debt
  • Receiving the correct attention with some one-on-one time
  • Live a better life by providing you with the confidence and knowledge you need to succeed.
Editor’s note: since our meeting, the vote for the building project was held and was successful.

50/50 was won by Jim T. (me) which will help pay for the fines I get next week for any mistakes and/or information I missed...

Next meeting takes place 9/26 and we look forward to hearing from Peg Doyle
