Madrigal Singers from Lexington High School Entertain at the Rotary Club of Lexington Annual Holiday Luncheon.

‘Twas three days before Christmas when 28 Lexington Rotarians, 37 guests and Santa met for the Annual Christmas Party on a drizzly Monday at Waxy’s. The buffet table consisted of chicken, delicious seafood, roasted potatoes, cold cuts, two salads and chocolate cake.
The meeting was called to order by Pres. Dave and after the pledge by Michelle G., one verse of America by Charlie V, and the invocation by Bob C., fines and happy dollars were in order. Among many contributions, PP Spencer B paid happy dollars to celebrate his son Ryan’s appearance at our party; VP/Sec Susan C. paying for her daughter’s graduation from college and advancing to graduate school; Connie N. paid happy dollars for the news that her son scored four A’s at pre med school this semester.

Pres. Dave called the wait staff to the podium to thank them for their service this past year.  Pres. Dave then asked Santa to make the rounds for donations to this year’s annual Christmas Appeal that raised $926.00
Meaghan Murphy announced that this year’s Christmas Eve Caroling at Hastings Park co-sponsored by the Rotary and Lion Clubs has been cancelled in anticipation of a windy/rainy day with no chance of snow on Christmas Eve.
