PP Spencer Reveals It All

Monday was a rainy day, with a crowd of 17 Rotarians.
Neillio’s made us a delicious spread of sandwiches, salad and some cold pasta dishes.  PP Don M made some sausages.
The Rotary raffle items were so generously donated by Rotary Club of Lexington, Spencer Betts, and Arlex Oil.
The Pledge was led by VP Cleve C, 1st verse of America by Charlie V, and the Invocation by PDG Jack M.
PP Don S gave happy dollars that his son and daughter were not in China during the coronavirus.  Although he now has new roommates.  PP Frank S gave happy dollars for the sausages PP Don M made and brought to the meeting.  PP Domenic S gave happy dollars for not receiving 10 reception tables (due to his bad ordering skills).  PP Don M gave some nice fun facts about PP Lori swimming in the Ocean in February.
The Polar Plunge is 2/29/20, PP Lori is plunging. A carpool will be leaving the Golf Club at 8:30 am, heading up to Gloucester to cheer her on.
Comedy Night will be held at the K of C on May 15th, start selling tables and collecting auction items.  Also, if you know someone with a business please try to sell them an ad in our Comedy Night book.
Our guest speaker was PP Spencer Betts, he joined Rotary in 2004.  Soon after joining the Rotary club, he almost quit due to the President (PP John O’Donnell) at that time.  This says it all……
Spencer was born in Greeley Colorado on a family farm and then moved to Acton, MA in 1978, just in time for the BLIZZARD.  He attended Old Dominion University in Virginia, where he played soccer and studied physics.  He is married with 2 children, and they all love to travel, play sports and coach sports.  Spencer started working at Bickling Financial in 2000, a family owned business his mother had founded in 1984.  He provides clients assistance with retirement income planning, cash flow management, college planning and 401K & IRA rollovers.

VP Cleve C was lucky enough to win the 50/50 for $45 and generously donated the money to PP Lori for the Polar Plunge.
