Quiet Day Awaiting the Blizzard.

This pre-storm meeting started with a hearty fare of clam chowder (it was really potato soup but, who's counting) and Italian sausages plus all the other healthy choices Patty puts together each week.
A low-key meeting with 15 Rotarians and 1 guest began on time with the typical confusing fines.
Worst singing ever and much talk about why and who was the cause. Try again next week. (Maybe we need to change the song?)
Bob C offered some happy dollars for a new car, a convertible (Porsche Boxter). He just loves his hair blowing in the wind on "The Island"!
Bob also won the 50/50 which was $800 nickels.
No speaker but plenty of announcements-
  • Next week’s (3/19/18) meeting is at Minuteman Vo-Tech on Marrett Road.
  • Polar plunge donations need to be in by 4-1-18 for proper accounting & credit to plungers.
  • Sign up on line, CBS Sportsfor Basketball bracket game- $20 per bracket fund raiser, half goes to the club.
  • Lexington Historical Society is hosting a program on “Taverns” on 3-28-18 $25.00pp or free for Rotary.
  • RI is promoting a plant-a-tree day. (Saplings- stick a pencil in the ground & stick the tree in. Add water & come back in 15years to see what happened.)
  • President Lori announced that the last meeting of each month will be an evening meeting for a while. Our 3-26-18 meeting will be the first one. Same place and Patty will be sure no one goes hungry or thirsty. This is more of a social event open to friends & associates.
