2019 Scholarship Luncheon

On a cool, cloudy spring day, 22 Rotarians and 33 guests met at the Lexington Golf Club with P Michelle G. presiding.
 
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Veronica, Verse of America was led by P.P Dan Olsen., PDG Jack. cited the invocation, the welcome song was by PSA Charlie I. The food was fantastic as usual, consisting of fish, chicken, steak, salad, vegetables, and deserts.
 
Our President Michelle G. led the meeting to order and welcomed everyone attending.
 
Fines and Happy Dollars
 
  • Veronica gave Happy Dollars for a great time at Comedy Night.
  • PP Dan O. gave Happy Dollars for P.P. Jim F. for a great job organizing the Scholarships.
  • Bob C. gave Happy Dollars for a great Comedy Night.
  • P.P. Spencer gave Happy Dollars for a great Comedy Night.
  • P.P. Nick gave Happy Dollars for a great Comedy Night.
  • P.P. Jim Shaw gave his wallet, house, keys, and anything else that he had towards fines. (Jim, you are a good sport.)
 
Announcements
  • P Michelle G. announced the “Discovery Day” will be held on May 25th at Lexington Center. S.A.A. Allan and Arianna will be there representing our club. All club members are welcome to volunteer at a table that is being set up.
Raffle
Donations were from Bob Cunningham, Village Automotive, P.P. Dan Olsen, and the Rotary Club of Concord.
 
Speaker
On this special day we did not have a speaker. We had the great honor of distributing 15 scholarships to senior students from,
Lexington High School, Lexington Christian Academy, and
Minuteman High School. Thanks to all the fundraisers, fines, and Happy Dollars throughout the year, The Rotary Club of Lexington was able to do this another year. (Thank you to all involved in the Scholarship Committee.
 
 
President Michelle G. rang the bell and our meeting was ended.
