Minuteman High School Culinary Students Feed Rotary

Today, June 4, 2018, is a rainy and cold day.  14 Rotarians, 1 visiting Rotarian, and 3 guests met at the existing Lexington Minuteman High School, which soon be replaced by the, under construction, brand new school building that is about a quarter of a mile away on the former football field.

Lunch was chicken cordon bleu, fish, tortellini and brussel sprouts.

The meeting was presided over by President Lori who has only 1 more meeting before the installation of the new officers on June 18th.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Incoming President Michelle, 1st verse of America by Past President Dan O, and the invocation was provided by Past District Governor Jack.  Past Sargent at Arms Charlie led the Welcome Song.

The happy dollars were led by Sargent at Arms Allan, who gave $10 for the efforts made at the VA on Memorial Day.  President Lori gave several happy dollar donations including for the tremendous effort put in for Comedy Night.  Past President Murry and Past President Dan gave happy dollars for their birthdays.  Past President Nick gave happy dollars for a new granddaughter.  Meghan also gave happy dollars.  Past member Ray Ciccolo gave $10 to be at the meeting.

The raffle gifts were donated by Walpole Cooperative Bank, Peoples United Bank, Busa Wine & Spirits, and Past President Bill Cassell (who, starting in a few weeks after school is out, will grace us with his presence for the Summer).

The upcoming meetings are:

June 11th at the Lexington Golf Club

June 18th   Installation at the Lexington Golf Club

June 25th Social Night at the Lexington Gold Club.   Please note that this evening meeting is a regular meeting of our Club and that attendance and absences will be recorded.  You are encouraged to bring guests.

The 50/50 raffle, for $40, was won by President Lori.

Thanks to the Lexington Minuteman High School Culinary students who served and made us lunch!
