    • Here is a note from Ugur to Pres. Dan to share with the club:
 Dear president Dan,
Greetings from beautiful Florence Italy. We have moved a few days ago and settling in now. I was very happy to live in Massachusetts and to teach at both Boston College, Suffolk University and be a member of Lexington Rotary Club. However my wife Elcin, a pharma executive, got her dream job and became the CEO of Menarini Group, a $5 bn Italian pharma company. She has sacrificed for me before and this time it is my turn to follow her to Florence, Italy. There are a few fine business schools around in an hour’s drive or fly time. I’ll get in touch with them in the coming weeks. I also contact the Rotary Club of Florence when I improve my Italian. Could you please share my happy dollars message with the club the next meeting?

“My dear Rotarian friends, I donate 240 dollars, 3 dollars for each of the 80 meetings I’ve attended since 2017, for the joy, friendship and community service opportunity. Also another 3 dollars for moving into a new home in Florence Italy. I’ve enjoyed living in Lexington for almost three years and going to miss your friendship. Feel free to call me when you travel here.” I’ve asked PP Dan Busa to bill me for $243 and paid a couple of weeks ago. It was a great honor for me to be a member of Lexington Rotary Club and being nominated for presidency in 2022.

All the best, Ciao,
Ugur Ergun
